KKM Working Visit to Five Stars Fruits Highlights Commitment to Food Safety and Quality

Five Stars Fruits Sdn. Bhd. was honoured to welcome YBhg. Datuk Seri Hj. Hasnol Zam Zam bin Hj. Ahmad, Ketua Setiausaha (KSU) Kementerian Kesihatan Malaysia (KKM), together with YBrs. Ts. Zailina binti Abdul Majid, Timbalan Ketua Pengarah Kesihatan (Keselamatan dan Kualiti Makanan) KKM, and the KKM and Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Pahang delegation to our frozen durian processing facility in Raub, Pahang.
The visit formed part of the KSU KKM's working visit to Pahang and provided an opportunity for the delegation to gain a closer understanding of our frozen durian processing operations and the food safety and quality controls implemented throughout our facility.

A Closer Look at Frozen Durian Processing
During the visit, the delegation toured our processing facility and observed various aspects of our operations, including the implementation of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and the controls established throughout the production process.
Key areas discussed and observed included:
Raw material control
Production process control
Hygiene and sanitation of the premises and equipment
Temperature control and cold chain management
Finished product storage
Record management
Product traceability
These controls form an important part of our food safety management approach and help ensure that our frozen durian products are processed, handled and stored in accordance with the required food safety and quality standards.
Supporting Malaysian Durian Exports

Five Stars Fruits Sdn. Bhd. is a KKM-approved processing premise for the export of frozen durian to China.
As a Malaysian durian processor and exporter, we recognise that maintaining consistent food safety and quality standards is essential in serving international markets.
From the sourcing and control of raw materials through processing, cold chain management, storage and traceability, every stage plays an important role in ensuring that our products meet the requirements of our customers and importing markets.
The visit also highlighted the importance of collaboration between industry and regulatory authorities in strengthening food safety practices and supporting the continued development of Malaysia's food export industry.
Meaningful Industry Engagement

The visit provided a valuable platform for engagement and knowledge sharing between KKM, Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Pahang and our team.
Encik Goh Kok Yong, Pengurus Kilang Five Stars Fruits Sdn. Bhd., represented the company during the visit and shared insights into our operations and processing activities.
The session also included an opportunity to showcase and share our Malaysian durian products with the visiting delegation.
